I had a presentation today and freaked out since this is my third time through the class and my first time presenting in it. XD I had German propaganda from 1900-1950 and I was all like... unable to breathe and was stuttering a lot and then the moment I started, I had a pretty clear voice. There's something I find hilarious about that for some reason.

Also, Mina and the Count. Now and then I remember how much love I had for those shorts. It's a shame it was never a show outside of Oh Yeah! Cartoons or What A Cartoon. 8(

I came home to find my roommates watching the first volume of the 3rd season of Avatar and realized it's been a really long time since I've seen any of Avatar.

It was awesome.

Now we're watching Pokemon. Moar awesome.

Hm...

Might be that it's almost six in the morning, but I feel very odd...

It's interesting... as much as I don't light direct sunlight, I think being awake at night gets me in a weird way. It feels almost secretive I suppose.

At any rate... it's the time that I start questioning why I do much of anything that makes me feel like perhaps I've been awake long enough...

There is no point to this journal other than the fact that it's... kind of puzzling... that and I'm like "lalala, posting whatever I want~"

Hm... gonna do a lot of sketching this weekend I think...

So, as predicted, my mom was thrilled to hear I'm watching Star Trek. Like those were her words. XD

So I had like... a brief conversation with her (by our standards anyway). My room back home is being repainted so my brother can move his stuff over and it's a slightly bizarre feeling. My mom said she was packing up my sketchbooks, which are from the last 8 years, and that I had a bunch of notebooks with them. She was like "oh well these probably don't have much in them..." and checked one and was like "... oh there's schoolwork in here, but there's a lot of stories and drawings too. *throws into the box* The other ones probably aren't like that though..." so she apparently checked a few more before just tossing them all in the box. I dunno why, but it amuses me quite a bit.

I missed class this morning, which made going to my afternoon class kind of awkward since, as I think I mentioned before, I have the same teacher for both my Wednesday classes. Walsh finally commented when he was like "blah, blah, blah, Oedipus with vegetables, lol." and I was like "OMG, I SAW THAT." and he was like "well I did show it to- you weren't in class this morning... 8| ... but you saw it, right? 8D" and I was like "Yeah, it was awesome. XD"

After Effects is being all fun to work with also. I dunno... working right now is making me happy... I think I'll get back to my photoshop work tonight and do the writing I need for my Storytelling class. So glad tomorrow is Thursday.

I think I have a problem when even if I'm not watching it, Star Trek is keeping me from doing my homework somehow... 8|;;

Clearly I need to get my laundry, take a nap, and quickly BS an adaptation of a fairy tale. >__>;;

Also I figured out like... two things: I think watching the original series of Star Trek makes me feel kinda closer to my mom in a way and I haven't had anything to watch in a long while. Which also makes me happy the new season of Venture Bros has started. <333

But I need to get my head back into my school and art work. >__>;;

I dunno how I feel right now... but I feel like there's some sort of anticipation for something coming up and it's like... a nice feeling...

I cleared through I think 13 or 14 episodes of Star Trek yesterday and I'm still tired. .__.

Also I want to watch more but omg, homework.

How did you learn the truth about Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, etc?

I killed all three of them on one Easter morning, not only for myself but for my sister. I noticed the candy tubes in our baskets were the same as the ones sitting in the fridge the week before and was like "HEY MOM, WHAT'S ALL THIS GOING ON HERE?" and that was that. I was 10, my sister was 9, it was glorious. XD

I suddenly have an urge to watch a fuckton of Star Trek. Like anything that isn't Voyager because I've watched a lot of Voyager. :|

My mom is gonna make me watch the original series when I get home, which should be awesome. Apparently she was surprised I had never seen it, which kind of cracks me up a little. I think she'd know if I'd seen it. XD Actually, she'd definitely know.

I got books and another skirt yesterday because adventures are fun.

I'm not sure what to do about Courtney's backstory since I'm not all that well versed in European history and she's 3000 years old around the time of the 1600s or 1700s... in my head she has an Irish accent going on, but I don't know exactly what that is a reflection of... she could've just learned English from some dude with an Irish accent or whatever... *shrugs* I mean... being born around 1000 BC, I don't imagine English would be your first language. Hell, not even sure if she's from Europe, but I think it'd make things simpler. Less room for much travel back then if I'm not getting mixed up.

Then again... dragons... .__.

But yeah... not exactly what direction to go in for researching this kind of thing... it'll come to me though, but I would like to get a timeline on her life going at some point...

Fun times. I think I'll do my storytelling homework today...

Well I'm done being internet-o-phobic for the most part I suppose. Easing myself back online I guess you could say.

However, my attention is mostly on my sketch-nabbing-palooza.

I've expanded to artists I have dA stalked for years and digging up REALLY OLD SKETCHES.

Also I'm producing more sketches I like, so I plan on finishing a ton of crap that I have.

The point of all this, however, is that by the end of the quarter, I bring you THE MOTHER OF ALL ART POSTS.

At least the grand master of this journal's art posts.

( Why yes, I would die without Sprite and posting art. 8D )

But anyways...

I'm gonna be going for a few different digital coloring styles, I think... and then I want to expand to a lot more traditional media... but mostly I want to practice my pen inking since that's kind of how I want to ink the Bottled Dragon comics.

On top of that, I have just realized why I am snagging so many sketches. Aside from satisfying my intense need to color shit in photoshop and work on something very different looking, I think it'll help me get a better grasp on line weights and, therefore, I can transfer this over to purely digital pieces a little better. Plus I'm getting faster at digital inks. Ohhh is that a huge plus. :)

Also it's just so fun to work with that wide variation in line quality and style. D8

Some lines should be colored, some should be thick, some should be really tiny and delicate, some should be made of just closed shaped, others with a lot of gaps and suggested lines, some need no lines at all, cel shading, soft shading, differently textured brushes, monochromatic color schemes just auuuugh~ <3333

But yes... I am slowly building towards a long art post that'll KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF. Like in addition to the pictures I've been doing, I think I'll also get in some animation rants and whatnot... and post schoolwork... that sort of thing...

And and... I will shut up and sleep now before I make myself get a worse cough or something. 8D
